چکیده

Abstract In this study, cellulose acetate and poly (4-methyl-1-pentene) (CA/PMP) nanofibers were co-electrospun with a blending ratio of 1:1 followed by deacetylation treatment to produce cellulose/PMP nanofibers. The physical morphology was characterized SEM which reveals even bead-less an average diameter 650 nm. FTIR study confirmed the removal acetyl groups after deacetylation, x-ray diffraction analysis performed analyze crystalline nature calculated crystallinity crystal size CA/PMP are 82% 34 Å. tensile strength revealed that combination both CA PMP has improved composite Further, process also increased strength. obtained Young’s modulus 6.9 MPa 195 for could be value addition in cellulose-based membranes.

Fabrication, characterization, and microscopic imaging of Fe2O3-modified electrospun nanofibers

This study explored the fabrication, characterization, and microscopic imaging of highly porous electrospun nanofibers based on pure and Fe2O3 nanoparticle modified polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers. The desired electrospinning mixture comprising polymer and nanoparticles in dimethyleformamide, was prepared. During electrospinning, the precursor solution was injected using a ...

Gas Selective Properties of Poly(4-Methyl-1-Pentene) Modifed by Gas Phase Fluorination

Fluorine-containing polymers have a number of valuable physical and chemical properties, such as high chemical and heat resistance, high mechanical strength and highly selective gas separation characteristics. One of the ways to produce fluoropolymer membranes is through surface fluorination. The modifcation of commercial polymers with membrane properties, poly(4-methyl-1...

SiC Nanorods Grown on Electrospun Nanofibers Using Tb as Catalyst: Fabrication, Characterization, and Photoluminescence Properties

Well-crystallizedβ-SiC nanorods grown on electrospun nanofibers were synthesized by carbothermal reduction of Tb doped SiO2(SiO2:Tb) nanofibers at 1,250 °C. The as-synthesized SiC nanorods were 100-300 nm in diameter and 2-3 μm in length. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results suggested that the growth of the SiC nanorods should be governed by vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) mechanism with Tb meta...
